Jonathan Fraser Shier, born on 18 October 1947, is an Australian businessman and media executive known for his roles in the UK and Australia. He served as managing director of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 2000 to 2001, where his controversial tenure involved significant reforms, leading to government criticism. Previously a director of various media companies in Europe, he returned to Australia in 2000 and became chairman and CEO of Continental Ventures. He was also involved in Fox Legal from 2008 to 2011. Shier currently resides in Melbourne.
