Joost Eerdmans is a Dutch politician, broadcaster, and former civil servant born on January 9, 1971. He co-founded the political party JA21 in 2020 and has served as its leader. Eerdmans had previous political experience as a member of the House of Representatives for the Pim Fortuyn List and later as a local politician in Rotterdam. Outside of politics, he hosted several television programs and is involved in the Pim Fortuyn Prize panel. Eerdmans is married and identifies as an atheist, despite his Reformed upbringing.
