Jordan Mechner is an American video game designer, writer, screenwriter, and filmmaker, best known for creating the Prince of Persia video game series. Born in New York City on June 5, 1964, he graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1985. His first game, Karateka, was released in 1984, followed by the iconic Prince of Persia in 1989.
