Jordi Cadena i Casanovas is a Catalan film director, screenwriter, and producer born in Barcelona on March 11, 1947. He is recognized as one of the most significant contemporary Catalan filmmakers, known for works like 'És quan dormo que hi veig clar' and documentaries such as 'Nits de Jazz' and the historical account of the 1977 Diada of Catalonia. A former teacher of script and direction, he has contributed greatly to Catalan cinema and lives with his partner Judith Colell in Sant Cugat del Vallès.
