Jordi Mir i Parache is a Catalan linguist, writer, and cultural activist born on May 3, 1935, in Tremp. He moved to Barcelona in 1950 and has worked as a Catalan teacher while publishing various travel and hiking books. A former member of the Catalan Geography Society, he won the Eduard Brossa Prize in 1966. He has collaborated with notable publications and served on Òmnium Cultural's board since 1984. An expert on Pompeu Fabra's works, he directed the publication of his complete works and was involved in a TV3 program between 1996 and 1997.
