He, along with his brothers, opened the restaurant in 1986, which gained global acclaim. In April 2012, he launched Rocambolesc, his first ice cream shop, in Girona. Despite facing health challenges due to cervical dystonia since 2016, he continues to impact the culinary world. He won the inaugural award for the best pastry chef in 2014 and was featured in the Netflix series Chef's Table in 2018.
