Jordi Soler, born in Veracruz in 1963, is a Mexican writer of Catalan origin. He is the author of two poetry collections and ten novels, which have been translated into several languages. Notable works include 'Los rojos de ultramar' (2004), 'La última hora del último día' (2007), and 'La fiesta del oso' (2012), which received the Prix Littéraire des Jeunes Européens in France. He is a member of the Orde del Finnegans along with other writers. He currently resides in Barcelona, having lived there since his family's emigration post-Civil War.
