Jorge Luis Cálix Espinal is a Honduran politician born on April 28, 1985, in Tegucigalpa. He has been a congressman in the National Congress of Honduras since 2014, representing the Francisco Morazán department for the Liberty and Refoundation Party (Libre). On January 25, 2022, he was elected president of the National Congress, but he had to relinquish the position after being challenged by the elected president, Xiomara Castro. The role was then assigned to Luis Redondo of the PSH party.
