Jorge Cumbo (1942-2021) was an Argentine musician known for his mastery of the Andean quena flute, blending jazz with Argentine folklore. He studied folklore under Chango Farías Gomez and later discovered the quena flute, which he learned from Una Ramos. As a member of 'Urubamba', he gained fame in the early 1970s through collaboration with Paul Simon. Post-1976, he worked with notable artists of the 'Nueva Canción' movement and formed various music groups, performing worldwide and earning a Konex Award nomination.
