Jørgen Riis Olesen is a Danish former officer and resistance fighter, born on December 1, 1928, in Hadsten. During the German occupation of Denmark, he was involved in producing and distributing illegal publications. After the war, he served in the Danish Brigade in Itzehoe and at the Home Guard Command School in Nymindegab. He later became a company commander at the King's Jutland Foot Regiment and was promoted to major in 1966. He received an honor for his service in the army and subsequently worked for Børkop Municipality and as a tourism director in Hvidbjerg.
