Jorma Aarno Aimo Kalela (1940–2022) was a Finnish historian and professor of political history at the University of Turku from 1992 to 2004. He obtained a PhD in political science in 1971, with his dissertation focusing on Finnish-Swedish cooperation in foreign policy during 1921-1923. Kalela was a researcher for the Academy of Finland from 1971 to 1977 and again from 1990 to 1992. His father was botanist Aarno Kalela, and his younger brother is former ambassador Jaakko Kalela.
