He is known for writing popular children's songs, including 'Atsipoppaa,' and was widely recognized for his contributions to Finnish music, with many notable artists recording his lyrics. He won the Juha Vainio award in 2004 and multiple times at the Seinäjoki Tangomarkkinat for his tango compositions. Before focusing on lyrics, he worked as a track inspector for the Finnish State Railways. He passed away from cancer in 2011.
