Jorunn Øvergård Tvedt, born on February 3, 1939, is a former athlete from Elverum, Norway. She was a significant player for the Norwegian national handball team, winning the Nordic Championship in 1967 and securing three Norwegian championships with Sørskogbygda IL. Tvedt also competed in athletics, earning NM medals in shot put. She debuted for the national team in 1959 and played a crucial role from 1960 to 1970, achieving a total of 34 goals in 56 international matches. Her legacy includes being the first female Norwegian handball player to reach 50 caps.
