Jos Paul Marie Van den Abeele (1912-1991) was a Belgian postmodern painter and graphic artist known for his landscapes of the Vlaamse Ardennen. He worked as an illustrator for Sanderus Publishing and created both vibrant portraits and whimsical, fantastical images of monsters. Despite being often confused with the painter Albijn Van Den Abeele, his signature style was distinctly different. His works have been displayed in Belgium and various major cities worldwide. In 2012, a tribute exhibition was held at the MOU Museum in Oudenaarde honoring his artistic contributions.
