José Andrëa, born José Mario Martínez Arroyo Gonzalez in La Paz, Bolivia, on June 2, 1971, is a prominent Spanish singer, best known as the lead vocalist of the folk metal band Mägo de Oz. He joined the band in 1995 and gained international fame, adopting the stage name José Andrëa after the birth of his daughter. He left the group in 2011 due to artistic differences and formed a new band called José Andrëa y Uróboros. Andrëa has faced personal struggles, including health issues related to alcohol addiction, but continues to perform music.
