He served as the mayor of Tucapel from 2012 to 2016 and was appointed as the Regional Director of SENAMA in the Bío-Bío Region in January 2017. He held the position of Municipal Administrator of Nacimiento until June 2021. Educated at the University of Concepción, he entered politics suggested by friend Guillermo Ibañez Rollo. His tenure faced challenges, including economic issues and a difficult electoral defeat in October.
