José Cícero Soares de Almeida is a Brazilian radio host, singer, and politician, currently serving as the mayor of Maceió, Alagoas. Born on January 8, 1958, he worked as a police reporter for various radio stations before entering politics. He was previously a city councilor and a state deputy in Alagoas. Almeida won the mayoral election in 2004 with support from businessman João Lyra, defeating the PSB candidate. He was re-elected in 2008 with an impressive 81.5% of valid votes, the highest among Brazilian capitals.
