José Ignacio Valenzuela, also known as Chascas, is a Chilean writer and screenwriter born on April 29, 1972, in Santiago de Chile. He is known for his work on television soap operas both in Chile and abroad, such as Amor a domicilio and La familia de al lado. Valenzuela has also contributed to various projects in television, literature, film, and theater across Chile, Mexico, the United States, and Puerto Rico. In addition to his screenwriting, he has published novels and short fiction and has taught creative writing.
