José Luis Sanz García (born March 11, 1948, in Sòria, Spain) is a paleontologist and science communicator specializing in dinosaur studies. He has authored or co-authored eight new dinosaur genera and is known for his research on primitive birds such as Iberomesornis romerali and dinosaurs like Aragosaurus ischiaticus. He has published twelve books, including 'Mitología de los dinosaurios' and is a professor of Paleontology at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. A member of the Royal Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences of Spain, he directed excavation projects at Las Hoyas.
