José Makila Sumanda is a Congolese politician who served as Governor of Équateur Province and was appointed Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure. He held the governorship from January 2007 to January 2009 and was a member of the Movement for the Liberation of Congo (MLC). In December 2016, he became one of three deputy prime ministers responsible for transport and communication. His political career includes significant roles within the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
