José Manuel García Ponce is a former Mexican professional cyclist born on December 1, 1972, in Culiacán. He had notable achievements in his career, including finishing second in the overall standings of the Tour de Beauce in 1995. García raced for the Belgian team Ipso-Euroclean in 1999 without achieving success and later joined the American Continental team Toyota-United in 2006, where he won the fifth stage of the Vuelta a Guanajuato. In 2008, García won the national championship in the time trial event.
