Jose Mari Rementeria Ibarluzea was a Basque priest, translator, and honorary Euskaltzain from Etxebarria, Bizkaia. He was ordained on July 3, 1961, in the Derio seminary and later obtained diplomas in Theology and Catechesis from the Pontifical University of Salamanca. He contributed to the Interfaith Bible project as a translator and was honored as an honorary Euskaltzain by Euskaltzaindia on April 27, 2018. Rementeria passed away in his hometown on October 3, 2023, at the age of 83.
