José María Torres García, born in 1962 in Súria, is a former world karate champion and entrepreneur. He was a member of the Spanish national karate team, winning the world championship twice in 1980 and 1992, along with numerous European and Spanish titles. In 2002, he co-founded Numintec, a technology company focused on cloud computing in telephony. He produced the musical 'Boig per tu' in 2013 and the short film 'El corredor' in 2015, which won several awards including a Goya in 2016.
