José Mir Félix was a Spanish composer and conductor, born on April 8, 1917, in Museros, Valencia. He was a student of Manuel Palau and led various music bands in Albuixec, Casas Ibáñez, Ontinyent, and Alberic. In 1951, he passed the exams to become a military band director, which took him first to La Corunya and then to Al-Aaiun, where he spent the rest of his life until his death on February 24, 1973.
