José Ramón Granero is an Argentine politician born on December 17, 1948, in Puerto San Julián, Santa Cruz. He served as the governor of Santa Cruz from 1990 to 1991. Granero later held the position of Secretary of Programming for the Prevention of Drug Addiction and the Fight Against Drug Trafficking (SEDRONAR) from June 2004 until December 7, 2011, when he resigned following his removal by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, largely due to his strong opposition to the decriminalization of drug possession for personal use.
