José Augusto Vargas Huayamabe, known as Pelusa, was an Ecuadorian footballer who was prominent in the 1940s and 1950s. He played for Barcelona Sporting Club and is remembered as one of the important figures in Ecuadorian football during that era. Vargas was born on December 19, 1924, and passed away on July 25, 2013.
