José Vento González, known artistically as Vento González, was a Valencian painter and sculptor born on January 11, 1940, in Quart de Poblet, Valencia. He was acclaimed for blending figurative and abstract art and developed a unique plastic art subcategory called cartronatge. Throughout his extensive career, he also explored ceramics, sculpture, and engraving. After retiring from secondary education in 2000, he dedicated himself solely to painting and sculpture. He passed away on March 21, 2013, and was posthumously honored by his hometown on the first anniversary of his death.
