Josef Dobeš (April 10, 1934 – December 19, 2021) was a Czech country musician known for playing the pedal steel guitar and dobro. He co-founded the band SALP in 1949, the first group in Czechoslovakia to play American country music. Dobeš was a member of Greenhorns from 1969 to 1974 and later joined the band Teskar. After a career shift to electrical work, he ventured into business post-1989, manufacturing model locomotives with his son. In 2008, he released a maxi-single 'Píseň úplňku' celebrating writer Jaroslav Foglar's 100th anniversary.
