Josef Kepka was a Czech secondary school professor and one of the victims of communist terror. Born in Vranovice in 1902, he studied at the Prague School of Business and visited the Soviet Union in the 1930s. Known as a prominent opponent of communism, he was accused of collaborating with the so-called Green International and sentenced to death in 1952, leading to his execution. His remains were secretly buried, and a symbolic grave exists in Ďáblickým cemetery, commemorating political prisoners.
