After playing for SV Berliner VB 49 in 1999, she took a two-year injury break and returned in 2001. Grosse represented the East German national team, winning bronze in the 1990 World Championship, and the unified German team, securing silver at the 1994 European Championship. She played 64 international matches, scoring 101 goals.
