From April 1961, he took over the meteorological observations from his father-in-law, providing daily sky observations and rainfall measurements for 50 years. His contributions greatly aided local meteorology, culminating in recognition from the Spanish meteorological agency on global meteorology days. He preserved significant meteorological data since 1949, which his family later donated to the Palafrugell Municipal Archive.
