Over nearly four days, he killed four people and held three hostages, leading to a prolonged standoff with law enforcement. The situation concluded when two adults managed to escape and a child was rescued. Palczynski was subsequently shot by police while reaching for a gun. Additionally, a woman was convicted for supplying him with firearms prior to these events.
