Joseph Nicolosi (January 21, 1947 - March 8, 2017) was an American clinical psychologist, founder and director of the Thomas Psychological Clinic in Encino, California. He was also a former founder and president of the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality. Nicolosi adopted reparative therapy and practiced it in his work, which is credited as a therapeutic method that helps homosexual individuals overcome their homosexuality and replace it with heterosexual attraction.
