Joseph W. Ferman (1906–1974) was a Russian Empire-born American science fiction publisher known for his significant contributions to the genre. He worked on American Mercury and helped found The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, where he became the publisher in 1954. He also launched Venture Science Fiction Magazine in 1957. Ferman edited notable anthologies including No Limits and Once and Future Tales, and published several other magazines. His son Edward L. Ferman played a major role in the family business, succeeding Joseph as publisher.
