Josip (Bepo) Diminić was a Croatian sculptor and graphic artist born on June 17, 1937, in Sveti Lovreč Labinski. He served as a professor of sculpture at the Pedagogical Faculty in Rijeka. Initially, he created stylized associative sculptures, often erotic in nature, using materials such as wood, stone, bronze, and colored plastic. From 1980 onwards, he shifted towards figurative works, focusing on ceramics and themes related to birds, often in anthropomorphic forms. He co-founded many Croatian art exhibitions, notably the Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium, which led to the creation of the Sculpture Park in Dubrova near Labin.
