Josip Perković, alias Tomo Novaković, is a former employee of the Yugoslav secret police and various Croatian intelligence agencies. Born on May 17, 1945, in Ličko Novo Selo, he was a wanted fugitive in Germany for his involvement in the murder of Croatian dissident Stjepan Đureković. Perković was arrested on January 1, 2014, in Zagreb and subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment for murder in Germany in August 2016.
