Josta Stapper, born Josef Stapper on February 18, 1941, in Cologne, is a German visual artist, graphic designer, and cartoonist. He gained recognition for his monthly cartoons in 'Y – Das Magazin der Bundeswehr.' Stapper studied animation at Fischerkoesen-Studio and attended Kölner Werkschulen until 1962. Since 1962, he has worked as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator and has exhibited his paintings in galleries in Berlin and Hamburg since 1969, with a studio in Cologne since 1979.
