Jože Ciglenečki was a Slovenian metallurgical engineer, born on March 3, 1924, in Šmarje pri Jelšah and passed away in November 2014. He graduated in 1954 from the University of Ljubljana's metallurgy department. At the Maribor Automobile and Engine Factory, he led the metallographic-physical laboratory, and was an advocate for implementing statistical methods in quality control in the automotive industry. Ciglenečki contributed to the development of several off-road vehicle models and helped penetrate foreign markets.
