Jože Veldin was a prominent Slovenian parachutist and train driver, born on February 6, 1970, in Murska Sobota, and he died on June 3, 2017, in Siófok, Hungary. He was an early adopter of sky surfing in Slovenia and became known for jumping in a wingsuit. Veldin served as the president of PK Skeri-fly, a parachuting club, and conducted tandem jumps with many notable Slovenians. He lived in Rakičan with his wife and daughter.
