Jozef Michalko, born on May 8, 1961, in Poprad, is a retired Czechoslovak basketball player. He participated in two European Championships in 1987 and 1991. During his 12 seasons in the Czechoslovak basketball league from 1979 to 1991, he played for clubs including Inter Bratislava and Dukla Olomouc, winning multiple championships. Additionally, he represented Czechoslovakia in 170 international matches, serving as team captain during the 1991 Eurobasket. After his playing career, he became a coach and director of MŠK Žilina football club.
