Józef Szczepański was a Polish poet and member of the Armia Krajowa, born on November 30, 1922, in Łęczyca. He became the commander of the 'Parasol' battalion during the Warsaw Uprising at the young age of 21, operating under the pseudonym Ziutek. Szczepański is known for his notable poetry reflecting on the occupation period, with many of his works later adapted into songs. One of his most famous works is 'Pałacyk Michla.' His life tragically ended on September 10, 1944, in Warsaw.
