Juan Codinachs Tuneu was a religious Claretians member born on February 12, 1914, in Santa Eugènia de Berga. He completed his studies at the Claretian seminary in Cervera and later continued his education in Vic, Solsona, and Barbastre. During the Spanish Civil War, he was executed by anarchist militiamen along with his community companions. He is recognized as a beatified figure by the Catholic Church since October 25, 1992, when he was beatified by Pope John Paul II.
