Juan de Marcos González, born Juan de Marcos González-Cárdenas in January 1954 in Havana, Cuba, is a Cuban bandleader and musician. He is best known for his work with the Afro-Cuban All Stars project and his participation in the Buena Vista Social Club project led by Nick Gold and Ry Cooder, which brought traditional Cuban music to a global audience. His contributions have significantly impacted the world music scene.
