He studied under Valero Lecha in El Salvador and pursued architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, under Frank Lloyd Wright. Known for his watercolor landscape paintings, Aberle also held significant cultural administrative roles, leading the Department of Arts, the National Botanical Garden and Zoo, and later the Salvador Institute of Tourism until his death from a heart attack on December 31, 1973.
