Juan José Manso del Abad was an Asturian metallurgical worker and communist leader born on November 8, 1906. He worked in the Turón mines and at the Trubia cannon factory, where he became active in the PCE and labor unions. He played a significant role during the 1934 revolution and was elected as a deputy for Oviedo by the Popular Front in 1936. During the Spanish Civil War, he served on the Asturian Anti-Fascist Committee and took on various political roles. After the war, he lived in exile in France and Cuba before settling in Mexico.
