Juan Ramon Rementeria, born June 7, 1955, in Bermeo, Bizkaia, is a former Basque pelota player known for his excellence in zesta-aurrelari. He began his professional career in 1971 and retired in 1998, having dedicated 27 years to his sport. Rementeria achieved significant success, winning the World Championship in Gernika in 1991 and 1992, as well as the French World Championship in 1976. After playing in the United States, where he became a top player, he represented during the famous zesta punta strike. Today, he is a zesta repairman in Gernika.
