Judit Polgár, born on July 23, 1976, is a Hungarian chess player and grandmaster of Jewish descent, recognized as the strongest female chess player of all time. She became a grandmaster at the age of 15 years and 4 months in 1991, breaking Bobby Fischer's record for the youngest grandmaster. Polgár was also the first woman to qualify for the World Championship in 2005 and remains the only female player to achieve a rating over 2700. She held the title of world number one female chess player from January 1989 to March 2015.
