Jugal Kishore Dutta (December 24, 1928 - February 21, 2020) was an award-winning translator associated with the Central Sahitya Akademi. He translated approximately 150 Bengali novels into Odia and also created original literary works. Dutta was the only individual to receive both state and national translation awards in a single year. He played a significant role in organizing the book fair in Bhubaneswar. Born in Maheshwarpur, he began writing in 1948 and was a prominent figure in literary discussions. His first book, 'Shatabdir Prem', was published in 1950.
