Juha Kostamovaara, born on December 30, 1955, in Tervola, Finland, is a Finnish academic professor specializing in electronics. He earned his Doctorate in Technology from the University of Oulu in 1987 and was appointed a professor there in 1995. Kostamovaara served as an academy professor at the Academy of Finland from August 2006 to July 2011 and from June 2012 to May 2017. His research focuses on developing circuits and components for precise, multichannel time measurement, as well as for generating and expressing fast optical and electronic transients.
