Julian Weisel Scheer (February 20, 1926 - September 1, 2001) was an American sailor, journalist, public relations professional, and author. He is well-known for serving as the Assistant Director for Public Affairs at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Washington, D.C., from 1962 to 1971, playing a key role in communicating NASA's missions and objectives to the public.
